First post! Ok, so i have some questions about full tilt. I signed up about a week ago (after a fiasco with Bodog). I signed up with free money, because i dont want to go thru the hassle of giving them my card number and whatnot. So i decided just to play the free games and practice till i got better.

Question 1: Can i win money if i play enough free games and get enough play chips?

Question 2: What is freeroll?

Question 3: What are Full Tilt Points (FTP)?

I think i'm doing alright, play chips-wise. I means i've had my ups and downs, but thats expected.

2. No buy in necessary. Sometimes the host of the tourney sets the pot...which is later divied up by the winners.
3. The points system is like an award system.. kind of like real casinos. You can use them for freerolls or purchase merchandise, etc...

Do you mean exchange your play chips for real money? Some people sell them to other players but I don't think it's really worth the hassle.

Play money games tbh will not help your game too much, the play is so different. Jump into the real money and play the lowest stakes you can. Don't worry about using a card with Full Tilt they are reliable (so far anyway ).

there is a difference between free play and free roll.

free play- playing for free with nothing to gain but play chips. no money.
free roll- playing for free with a prize, usually money, to the winners. sometimes these tournies cost points(ftp) to enter.

ahh.. I guess I read that first statement incorrectly.. oops!! No.. you cannot convert play chips into money.. but some sites have exchanges that give you a few bucks for a million or so play chips.

How does one earn FTPs? Can someone enter a freeroll with $0 or just play chips to win real money? Are there certain play money tournements that payout real money? Even just $5 or so?

The reason i ask is, i'm tired of these play money tournements already. I hate how unrealistic the play is. Last night, my pocket AA was beat by a 2,6 offsuit. Even $2 games would be enough.

well ya would think that 2,6 off wouldn't beat your aces in real money cause ya think nobody out there would call ya holdin 2,6 off but the sick thing is it will happen (especially if ya slow play them) till ya get just plain sick. well i've seen some "omg you can't be serious" hands. anyways they do have freerolls on PStars different times everyday that gives you a chance at another tourney that has a $1000 prize pool. so that would be one way to start without depositing money. the points i believe are givin by raked hands played and buy-ins from sit n goes and tourneys but thats how poker stars does it . i don't know about full tilt. good luck

Question 2: like users above said a freroll is a free tourney that you enter and you can win real money..the catch?? Well you need to come out in teh top 28 outta 2800..which is not easy.

You earn points by buying into MTT and tournaments based on the amount of rake taken in. Same with cash games. You cannot earn points without playing with $$$. Check with the site for more info.

Yes, you can play in freerolls as Vic already pointed out. These freerolls have cash prizes, and if you cash n them, then real money in deposited into your account. I'm not sure if you would be able to withdraw the money without a deposit. www.fuckinggoogleit.com

No, they are not play money tournaments that pay out real money. As Vic already pointed out, play money is for play money, free play is for real money.
