Default Got to restart from somewhere...

...But where is the best question ive been asking myself.

I seem to be hovering up and down all the time and my bankroll hardly ever hits above $200. Ive been grinding recently using the 5% rule but lately my discipline has let me down - I wonder if I wasnt moving sites so much it would settle?

My bankroll at this very moment in time is $15 but its only that small because I withdrew it all for a recent engagement ring for my girlfriend - It just had to be done! I just CANT seem to stick to the 5% rule... I guess thats my own fault.

I guess I could do with Pokertracker... but then that would mean finding a decent site that will log poker tracker and wont be too hard on me.... Hmmm Absolute Poker is tempting me once more..... I used to love the shorthanded games on there.. but managed to blow $100 of my bankroll within 2 days... well that was my whole bankroll before. I think I can be a consistant player again I just need some sort of stopping point.

But for me the deposit options are the most important I want a site where I can use my UK debit card... something thatll reward loyalty too... I guess I could stick on Doyles room (Bluesquare poker) or Ladbrokes.... I just.... Hmmm

I need direction or something, perhaps some alcohol.... guess I should save for pokertracker if I REALLY want to improve - but the question is... would it really make a difference?

Again, YES it does and without question! Session by session, hand by hand you can see exactly what hands you won with, lost with, against who and on and on and on.... Save for it and GET IT!!

As far as blowing your BR, maybe switch over to limit instead of NL, or pick a site your comfortable staying with.. I'm playing at 4 different ones now, all for different reasons and games.. Most of all, SELF CONTROL!!!

Congrats on the girl, may you be as lucky as me and have one that encourages your poker playing...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want to build a bankroll, BONUS WHORE. Sign up with PokerSourceOnline (referrals, are appreciated ) and get to it. You can even "buy" PokerTracker with the points you earn there.

PokerTracker is useless in my opinion I win "Constantly" Havent had a losing month since I started poker over a year ago and I used PT for about 1 week and decided it was useless.

Chief, what sites do you play?

I used PokerTracker for about a month and just felt I personally couldn't be bothered with it. I now try and play only on sites which aren't supported by Poker Tracker and find this to be more profitable.

what's the %5 rule?

Was also thinking of getting poker tracker, but unles you play lots and lots of tables at once, i'm not entirely sure of the point? but then i've never used it so i don't really know one way or the other.

pretty sure he is refering to buying in with only 5% of your BR or basically having 20 total buy-ins for whatever limit you are play at.
Example is if i have a $100 BR i can play $5 SnGs safely since i have 20 buy-ins. If you go to say $80 you should lower what you buy into and rebuild until you reach $100.

Or the ring game theory, buy in for 5% and cash out when you hit 10%.

In my opinion running PokerTracking with GameTime+ just to be able to see the VP$IP & Pre-Flop raise % is worth it. Those 2 stats alone have saved me more than the cost of PT.
