With practice, and a VERY good feel for a table, you can start limping some hands early, but for now, If you don't want to raise it in EP, then fold it.

learn to fold bad hands. Once you learn to fold bad hands and only play good hands, you can move on from there.

Pick up Phils Book, the actual one not one of the 3 or so abridged versions "Taken from how to play poker like a pro". It helped me a lot.
