Hey, I'm looking for some advice on how best to play in these hyper-turbo sattelite tournies (e.g. 500 starting chips blinds 25/50, ante 10, blind increase every 2 minutes).
Now I do realize you have to have one hell of a lot of luck to build a stack in these ones, and that it's mostly either shove, fold, or call all-in, often with multi-way showdowns and bad beats all over the place.
I'm just curious if there is some sort of trick or even "right way" to play, basic rules or anything... would be glad if someone with know-how could provide some assistance ;-)...
Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure i posted this at the wrong place, please be lenient with me on that
if there already exists a thread regarding this matter, point that out to me, I'm new, I just didn't find it![]()

You need to know push/fold poker inside out. You need to know ICM inside out. You need a massive bankroll to ride out the variance.

lol, my post above was in reference to the 6 seater satellites where top 2 get paid and not the FPP satellites although the first two points obv still apply. The BR issue isnt so big for the FPPs......

It's all ICM play, if you're a good bubble player in S&G's you'll do well in these

It is advisable that you should stick to just pushing your stack all-in or folding. And always keep your eye on how much time is left before the blinds raise and try to time it so that you in the dealer position when the increase is made. Remember bubbling in hyper-turbo satellites is the worst thing that can happen to you. If you have a big stack, do not risk any chips. Fold the majority of your hands, especially when another big stack has raised or is left to call
