Best Online Poker Site!
-
August 24th, 2008 #2
I'm an American, so my choices are limited. Right now, the top sites to play on are Full Tilt, PokerStars, and Cake Poker.
I play mostly on Full Tilt, but am looking to move to Cake as they offer 33% rakeback and sound really fishy.Well over $300,000 free every month in 2011 with freerolls, rake races, and rake chases!
www.RakeGuard.com has the highest rakeback percentages available.
RakeGuard...more than just rakeback.

I love Full Tilt Poker, for many reasons. They just have a well rounded site with
- huge tournaments
- Lots of traffic
- table for any size game
- great support
Cake is cool too but full tilt takes the cake.

Best online poker site is hard to say because they are all different. The best tournament site is probably Pokerstars because they are the biggest. They have the largest customer base according to BLUFF magazine and really advertise well on ESPN when all the tourneys are running. Full Tilt is the second largest site and has a good balance of cash games and tournaments. A lot of amateurs enjoy playing here because they get to "play with the pros." But to be honest with you, most of the Full Tilt Pros aren't even that good. And if you end up playing with a good pro, you'll probably lose your money. Every time Allen Cunningham sits at my table I leave. Players tend to play back at you here because they grew up on ESPN poker so they'll try to bluff a lot. Best cash game site is probably Bodog. I'm not sure how they're doing right now, but I used to be an exclusive Bodog player because the guys there just sucked. They don't know how to play poker because it's known to be a sports betting site. The players there are not fundamentally sound and make so many errors regarding each street. Bad beats occur here the most because the players are so bad (part of the game because you'll go in more when you're ahead which leads to more bad beats). Cake Poker is growing, but the number of players there is still too small for me to play at. At a premium time they have 4,000 players when Full Tilt has like 50,000. UB and Absolute are dying and are offering these huge sign up bonuses. (200% on initial deposit) You could probably bonus hore here. It all depends on what games you want to play. Tourneys I would go with Pokerstars. Cash games I'd go with Bodog.

Cake actually has more players than Bodog these days. About 33% more so it isn't even that close really. Both these sites would be highly recommended because of the loose quality of the games which you will find at poker sites attached to sportsbooks.
