Accidentally posted this in the wrong room, sorry.
Is anyone familiar with the Lock Poker software? I downloaded it awhile back and messed around to get a feel for it, but has anyone made a deposit on Lock that could tell me if its alright? I am about ready to cash out of Bodog due to the lack of players as you move up. Any suggestions regarding Lock or any other poker room? I'd preferably like a room with plenty of players signed on around the clock, and of course FISH!

Lock Poker/Poker Room Recomendations

I play at Lock
The software is ok
The players are terrible
The traffic is mediocre
It's one of the loosest rooms on the internet because it has the old Sportsbook Poker feeding them players. It's the only network I know of where the players still play like its 2006.
I can get you a good RB deal --they pay you daily too, which is nice-- that comes with a few added freeroll perks and stuff --I got entry into 4-$10k freerolls when I joined with like 400 people in them-- so if you're going to deposi let me knowRead my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

How is their deposit bonus? I am looking for an upgrade from bodog (which really isn't much). It seems to me like they use the same deposit bonus system. How does Full Tilt's deposit bonus compare? Part of me wants to play complete fish and part of me wants to play good players so I can be challenged. The daily RB is almost a good selling point for me though. Would you recommend Full Tilt or Lock, Steve?

I prefer Lock Poker myself, but I can't get enough PLO action there so I have to play Lock and Full Tilt. If you're a NLHE player I would play at Lock. Here is an unbiased review I wrote about the site: An in-depth look at Lock Poker | Poker News Boy
Full Tilt has more games, but lock has much softer games --I can also get you enrolled in a contest where you can get signed to be a Lock Poker pro.Bluff Pro Challenge on Lock Poker | Poker News Boy
Make sure you signup through that link in the article though --anyone can join-- but if you sign up through a differnet affiliate you won't get into the Lock Pro contest.
If that doesn't interest you, you can also get a 200% up to $1,200 depsoit bonus with TeamPNB1200 code
EDIT: You'll actually get the bonus, Rakeback, and entered into the promotion with that code
MODS: I make no personal gain from the affiliate link --not even a referal percentage-- but I do write for the website, just to put all my cards on the table. So if you consider it spammy just take it down, it is the best Lock Poker bonuses out there thoughLast edited by Steve Ruddock; 03-01-2011 at 04:18 PM.

LOL, no they use to be on Cake, now they are on the Merge gaming Network --Play Aces (Sportsbook.com), Carbon Poker, FeltStars, Reefer Poker, etc.
They are ranked 21st by pokerscout.com: Peak traffic around 1,500 cash game players, average about 1,000 cash game players -- about 5 spots ahead of Cake Poker Network, and about 40% more traffic.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

For me, Lock Poker is also good. Though to play because majority of players are mean I should say. But all in all the game is very challenging. Its software is also OK. Easy to install and easy to handle.
