Most profitable S%G

i usualy play $6.50 to $60... depending on my BR...
the thing is, it depends who is playing these games...
if you recognise in a 9player sng that most of the players are multi tabling 12-26 tables, then just leave that one as their level of play will/is usualy higher than your own IMHO...
so look for a sng with mainly players playing 1 table(possibly fish)
it doesnt matter if you play a 9max that pays 2 and 18max that pays 4, its still exactly the same for the cashing, except the 18max has a higher pay out, roughly double for 1st...
so remember, look at the players.
and play what your good at, i know im better at playing 6max and 18player SNG's rather than 9max...

I enjoy playing the multi-tablers. Most of them are very tight and even seem to be a bit more on the just wanting to gamble side as the blinds get higher. They usually play very few hands until the blinds get up around 75/150 then start shoving like crazy. It's also pretty eazy to bluff most of them because of the fact that they have to play so tight. Not all of them are like this of course, but for the most part, a lot are. I have a lot of success playing against the multi-tablers.
Being someone who has made decent profit playing nothing but SNGs, I will tell you what works best for me. I like the $6.50-6man-turbos. They go quick so you can get a lot of games in when you play, and if you're a good poker player, you will see your profits start to add up. Also when you play the same game over and over you see familiar faces, which is always good in poker. Take notes and remember how they play, as it will help out as you keep meeting up.
Also looking to only play fish has it's good points and it's bad points. It's good for obvious reasons but remember the more fish at a table, also means more bad beats at the table. If you're a good poker player, you will profit in the long run regardless of who you are playing. I am very unlucky and beat players by bluffing and out playing them. When I play a table full of fish, I seem to run worse because of how unlucky I am, and the number of bad beats I take.Last edited by Ipokergood; 01-20-2011 at 01:20 PM.

yes but what you dont realise is...
allthough they're playing TAG in early stages and LAG in late stages...
they are fully taking advantage of you, as you are clearly going to take advantage of them being TAG at first, so you will steal their blinds and what not,
and as soon as it hit 75/150 and you have 2.5-3.5K stack, and they have 1.5K, they will squeeze like theirs no tomorow because they know you were playing LAG to steal their blinds, and now TAG because you are only thinking about cashing...
so they take advantage of you without you realising.
dun dun dunnnn

I have never been one to get bullied at the table, and as I have said before most of the multi-tablers who know me, don't try that me. I have been known to bust their ass time and time again with something like K10s or A10os just because I am not scared to gamble if they are obviously trying to steal. I do realize exactly what you're talking about though. Still I am fairly agressive aswell, so I'm not one to slow down and tightin up just because I have a stack and the blinds are growing. I don't think about just cashing, I think about winning.

I like focusing on just 1 table.

I am also focused in one game. I cannot do the multi tasking as of the moment.
