I recently started playing on pokerstars just to try it out. The software is way to slow. I am used to AP which is a lot quicker. Also, there are way too many horrible players at the $3-7 SNG level. The badbeats are always going to be higher when people don't know how to fold when they are way behind. Plus so many people have bad connections on this site, that on top of this super slow software is sooo annoying, especially when you are used to a high speed poker room like AP. And no ultra turbo sngs? WTH? UHHH just venting, but really am not liking this site so far.

1) Bad players at your table is usually considered a good thing.
2) Ultra-turbo's are for gambloors, not Poker players.
Not sure why people hate it when the game selection is very good.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

I don't mind playing against lesser skilled players, but I also don't want to play against people who barely understand how the game works. I'm guessing because the field is so much larger at this level, and the site is so well known, there are a lot more newbies that are just learning the game. I seem to like how AP has a much smaller field. Therefore most of the players at the $6.50 level are regulars. Playing against people who know how to fold makes a huge difference. Plus the fact that I know how a lot of the regs play and usually have no trouble pwning them. Maybe it's just me, but I seem to run a lot better when I am playing people who at least understand the game.
However, Pokerstars is growing on me. I have been playing on here for just over a week now and I'm averaging $1 profit a game at this level, so not bad at all. I also think once I get my BR up a little bit more, I'll be able to multi-table on PS a lot better, because of the slower software and overall slower gameplay.
I have played around 3,500 SNGs on AP and have made over $3,300 at this level. I have never played a SNG slower then a turbo and have made at least $1,000 playing 6 man UT SNGs. So I guess the UTs are for some poker players. Plus it's cool to be able to get a couple games in on a lunch break, lol. Although I will admit there are a lot more "bingo players" in the UT SNGs.

Not when they constantly hit 2 or 4 outers on you. Or a calling station makes a outrageous call with bottom pair when you make a standard bluff that any well rounded player would fold to. Or you have AK preflop, raise it 4x the BB and the flop comes 925, so you make a C-bet only to get reraised with 92. I have taken more badbeats on Pokerstars in the last month then I have in the last 4 months on AP, and I play 10 games on AP to every 1 game on Pokerstars. The reason for this is people not knowing how to fold. I am constantly saying something like "how the hell does this idiot make that call" or "how the hell does this idiot hit that card on the river" when I am playing on Pokerstars. I like pokerstars alright I guess, just way to many donks for a player like myself. Like I said before, I run a lot better when I am playing better players. Most of the pros agree with me, btw.

As someone who played over 3,5 K SNG's how can you say that ? Isn't getting against a 2 or 4 outer profitable on the long run ? Isn't that the goal , to get in with the best hand and hope it holds .Not when they constantly hit 2 or 4 outers on youBuild a poker bankroll , get $50 free starting capital!

Again, people on AP seem to know how to fold, and more often then not arn't going to put their money in looking for a 2-4 outer. I do get what your saying, and of course I would love to put my money in after the flop and have someone call looking for a 2 outer everytime I play. Who wouldn't? Still, maybe I am just very unlucky on Pokerstars but for whatever the reason, when people don't fold, when they should, I lose.
Seeing as how I avg. $1 profit a game at the $6.50 level, I would say I'm doing something right. I run better against better players and nothing you people say is going to make me think other wise. Also again, most pros agree with me on this. There must be a reason for that?

I don't mind having dead money at my table and usually welcome it. I am not going to say I don't enjoy seeing the regs on AP who are noted as "dead money" or "-35% ROI". I am not really even talking about those people either. I am talking about there being so many people on Pokerstars who don't even seem to understand the basics of the game. They play every hand and call you all the way down when you have top pair only to hit their 1 over card on the river. You can't deny that at the lower levels there are always a lot more suckouts and badbeats. A lot more hands where you are saying "what the hell was this guy thinking". I refuse to believe that the biggest online poker room is rigged, so the only reason I can come up with is that luck is much more of a factor when you are playing people who have no skill. Maybe I am crazy or just have had some really bad luck on pokerstars so far, but I find it harder to win on this site, even though I notice the avg. player is a lot worse then the avg. player on AP.

You're complaining about things that I exploit to win.

You exploit badbeats and slow software to win? lol
I am not nessaserly complaining, more like just stating my opinion. Look, the way I see it, if you are a skilled player, you are going to profit regardless of who you play. I have a hard time controlling my emotions when I lose to someone I know has no buisness playing the game for real money. I enjoy dead money as much as the rest of you, but when I take a horrible badbeat from someone like that it makes my blood boil. I do need to work on that. I am not a cash player, so when a donk bust me playing something like 82os against my AK, it's not like I can just buy back in and get revenge. I am super pissed. I can see how a donk at a cash table can't be a bad thing. In a SNG though, if i'm going to lose, I would way rather lose to someone who "played their cards right", then someone who went trigger happy and got ridonkulously lucky. I can handle losing to a better hand or even if someone gets lucky with something like AK vs QQ, as coolers and coin flips do happen. Trust me, I honestly have nothing to complain about, the poker world has been very good to me, both live and online. I am just saying I don't like playing with people who can't even spell poker.
