It happens man... tell me about it all morning this morning...
Youve just got to realise...the beats dont matter...
look at this for example...(this is why im ok with these sorts of beats...)

    you play $6.50 6max Turbo SNG's...

    1st place is $23.40...

lets say for this example we are going for 1st everytime... as 2nd is just not an option...
3 Buy ins for this SNG is $19.50...
So we can say well i will play 3 games, and If i win 1/3 of my games i will still profit $3.90...
its small, but its a profit... and as the winning players say, its all in the long run...(yeah whatever lol)
but it is, lets say we play 90 of these $6.50 sng's...
We can afford to lose 60 of them and still be in profit of $117 dollars....

my points is.... winning 1/3 sucks but its none the less a profit, and thats why were playing (to make money)
Im okay with my bad beats simply because i know i can stil profit even with them... just have to have a BR to support this...
plus you get better and you learn from your mistakes... for instance dont instant ship AQ UTG with 14BB's left to the BB who has 40BB's, he will call with any A ... so A7 will bust you AQ now and again..

Seems like an awfully positive way of thinking lol. So hopefull that makes me sick. I guess Im a bit addicted to the rage of that kind of badbeats. I just cant control myself when I set a lot of traps, read the guy and still get beating with pure luck.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but honestly it wouldn't take much to skew the odds (I wrote an in-depth piece about this on my blog) and I'm sure there are some sites that fiddle with their code.

The goal of any online poker site is simply to keep every player at a table for as long as possible, and the best way to do that is to make everyone as close to break even as possible.

It wouldn't be hard for a site to randomly (say 25% of the time) remove a single card from the deck in an all-in situation. So if you have AA vs. TT they simply remove ONE Ace from the deck. What would make it even harder to spot are the times you get your money in with the under-pair and benefit from this.

The lower the limit the more they could skew the odds since databases are not as large and the player pools are so much bigger with huge turnovers. So in low limit games maybe they remove one of your cards 100% of the time.

This would pull everyone closer to break-even without affecting your win-rate all that much.

Here is what I wrote on my blog, a similar way to affect the hand by removing random cards:

"Here’s a real world example of what I mean: Suppose a player gets it all-in with one card to come, and has 2 outs. Normally they have about a 4.5% chance of winning, but removing two cards boosts their winning potential to around 4.75%. See how it would work?

Now suppose you get it in good 75% of the time, you would only be losing roughly .18% equity per hand when you get it all-in on the turn. Do you think you would be able to spot this lost equity? So in our example above instead of winning 95.5% of the time you would only win 95.25% of the time. So over the course of 100,000 hands your opponent would win 1,049 times instead of 1,047 times!"

It's pretty meaningless to an individual player, but the site would benefit dramatically in added rake over the long-run.

Steve you have played many more hands than I have. A trend that I notice at low limits is a high frequency of AA vs KK. What are the odds of this happening within a 9handed ring game? Ans what is the frequency that you have seen this happen?
