For me it all depends on the specific game dynamics. If people are folding their blinds you can play looser, if the game is aggro with a lot of re-raises you need to pick your spots better. It all depends on the particular game, your table image, and of course how well you play (if you are new or struggling than you should be playing tighter and avoiding difficult hands)
