I'm not really new to poker, but I'm not a millionaire either. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say I'm about a 6-7. I think my main problem is tilt and patience. And people on pokerstars sucking out and hitting 2 outters, but that's another story right? lol. I'm here to learn whatever I can and hope to make myself a better player.

Welcome to the forum. It's hard to answer when you didn't really ask any specific questions. But good to see another poster anyhow. What stakes/sites do you play on?

Oh no, I wasn't really asking a question. More or less just introducing myself. I'm playing .1/.2 nlhe right now. I finished 8th in a 3962 person freeroll last night. I feel like I'm right on the edge of being a good player. I mean, I consider myself pretty decent, but pretty decent isn't good enough to make the big bucks right? lol. Just tryin to pick up some tips wherever I can man.

Its pretty slow around here. A handful of regular posters and many who post a few times and leave. As for picking up tips, my advice would be to post hand histories of the hands that you're uncertain of the correct play, and let others walk you through their thought process.
I am a Sit n Go Player myself, I mainly play on Cake and the Merge network.

I am assuming you are playing 10/20 cent by your reply unless it was meant to be 1/2 cent. How much of a bankroll did you deposit, what is your goals, what makes you think you are succesful besides placing 8th in a freeroll?
Rakerelief I play at Raiseandfold and get rakerelief. 40% worth. What about you?

Youre probably one of those people who is good at poker when it comes to know what hands to play, when to fold, when to raise, etc. Your downfalls maybe being... bluffing too much, not always waiting for the right hands.. getting impatient.. and of course.. improper bankroll management? if yeah, i guess i was the same way too. all it takes to make a good player is some really bad beats with your own money and ull make sure u dont do it agian lol. once you lose a paycheck, you make damn sure u brighten your game :P

One thing that helps me with Tilt is to literally talk through every play as if you were making a poker strategy video. Even if you're folding 72 offsuit in early position, tell your imaginary student why.
List your opponents potential hands, and tell yourself why you should fold, push etc...
It looks a bit strange especially if your gf is in the room, but it really does help you from making stupid emotional mistakes.
Anyway, welcome to the forums. Be careful of the scammers PM'ing you asking you to signup at different rooms for special deals and whatnot. They are everywhere, lol.Well over $300,000 free every month in 2011 with freerolls, rake races, and rake chases!
www.RakeGuard.com has the highest rakeback percentages available.
RakeGuard...more than just rakeback.
