Hi, I am thinking about starting to play with real money due to 100% bonus offer on poker stars .com
I see tournaments for like $1 etc. But what does that actually mean?
Like I see buy in $.025 + $0
What is with that extra +?
If i bought into a tourney for $1.00 how many chips do i get and can other ppl pay 100 bucks and have alot more chips then me?

¥-Question about online Tourney's-¥

Tournament buyins aren't as confusing as they look. The first part of it goes to the prize pool. The second part just goes to the casino/site. So in a $.25 + $0, pokerstars doesn't make anything and your $.25 all goes to the prize pool. In a $10 + $1 tournament, you pay $11. $10 goes to the prizepool, and $1 goes to pokerstars. That is how they make their money in tournaments.
And all tournaments start players with the same amount of chips. Usually 1500 to 2000. There is only one amount you can buy in with in a tournament. Straight cash games are different, but everyone starts equally in tournaments.
