Well I have been playing on carbon poker for a few months now. I have had no problems with them at all up until a few days ago. Here is what happened...
I was playing in my usual 50NL cash game and was involved in faily large pot. I had KQ on a 8 8 K flop. Villian re-raised me big and I reluctantly folded. Villian said he had pocket 9s or something. I didn't really believe him so I used carbon poker support live chat to ask them what he had. Now obviously once a player mucks before showdown nobody should know his hand if you go by the rules. But I have had 70-80% success rate in finding out a mucked hand by asking these live chat support people. Depending on who is working. So I give them the hand ID and they tell me his hand 6 8 of diamonds (the suits even) LOL. So I inform the player that "I looked up his hand" and tell him "6 8 of diamonds" He immediatly freaks! And starts calling me a superuser/cheater, understandably so. I then do this same thing a few hands later when he shoves all in on a 5 high board and everyone folds. Pocket 10s this time. LOL
He then completely flips and sits out. Starts threatening to turn me in to the gaming control board and such... I must admit I found this completely hillarious.
So a couple days go by and I notice I can't use chatI contact support again and they say that it was disabled by the management but didn't have a reason yet. I get this e-mail after a while
"Unfortunately, your chat privilege has been banned permanently and it will not be getting re-instated.
Should you require further assistance or information, please reply to this message"
I then log on to live chat and have this convo with a rep...
Not getting anywhere there I send them this e-mail...
Hello, Please forward this to the management. Thanks! Hello, I have been a regular player on your site for a few months. Just a couple days ago I got chat banned. For me chat adds a lot to the game. I honestly will move my business to another site if I can't use the chat feature. Here is exactly what happened how I got banned...I was playing in my usual 50 buy in cash game and I had a good hand that I fealt was beat. So I folded but didn't know for sure if it was the right fold. So I asked the chat support what he had and they told me. I then told the player I knew what he had and informed him of the hand. (This was a mistake I know). The player asked me how I knew and I simple said "I looked it up" I did not say anything about the chat telling me. I was told by support the reason my chat is banned is because of a "security breach" I understand now I should not have told the players I knew there hand. But the support never said anything about that information being confidential ever. (If you check the live support archives you will see this also) If you think about it the security breach was not me it was your worker who informed me of the hand. I ask to be treated just the same as your worker (because after all I am. I rake $100s of dollars for you every month). You gave your worker a warning not to tell players of mucked hands not gone to show down any more... right?. You did not fire this worker or ban them from live chat did you? But for me you gave me no warning at all. How do you think this is fair? It isn't. Please re-instate my chat so I can continue to play on your site. I will never do anything of this nature again and I do appologise. Thanks for reading and understanding.
They reply back and say my chat will never be reinstated.By far the biggest security breach was the chat rep who told me the hand. Sure I should not have informed the players of my advanced info. But I think it is rediculous they give me no warning at all but for there worker she is still working there after this and chatting away LOL. (I talked to her) So now I gotta beat the donks on cake poker instead

[x] They shouldnt have told you villains hand
[x] You should not have bragged that you knew twice in a row
[x] You deserve the chat ban for abusing it your privillage
Not that I would, but as a mod here, if I told you something about another member, and then you bragged to them you knew this confidential info, I would probably ban you too

Well I'll add that site to the list of ones I'm never playing at.
Ping, how does he deserve a chat ban? Theoretically anyone could find out the mucked hands. For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
