IMHO I think it's a very bad idea to keep putting more and more money into poker, set yourself asside a poker bankroll, make it large and if you lose it that should be it. I started playing tiny stakes live a few years ago with a £50 roll, if I loose my poker roll I will be quitting for good, or at least a year or so.

I transfered half of my roll online, if I loose this I leave online etc. Keeping on topping up your "bankroll" seems like a bad idea to me. Play well within your limits, especialy when players will call with ATC rather regularly (cake?).

Good luck

If you go on tilt then poker isn't the game for you. Anyone can tell you to keep your composure and not to tilt, but if you tilt you're going to go crazy again. I could also say to read some poker books to try to improve your game. Bankroll management is important and it sounds like you don't have any because you just lose your deposit every time you play. From what I have read it sounds like you should stop playing. I could be wrong. Either way, best of luck to ya.

You have to take a short break from poker ,,a couple of weeks at least. You can't redeposit with the intentions of winning back the 400 you lost. You have to play the way you did when you were winning. Its happened to me,,you work so hard to get your bankroll up and then you take a bad beat and you start trying to win the money back in a hurry, you play too many hands and start taking chances and before you know you say to yourself,,shit take it all and then I'm done. Now when I get spanked by a bad beat and I get that feeling I cash out of the table (if I have anything left) shut down and go do something else.

Well, I guess poker has indeed quit me.

Total loss: $1,000. Duration: One month. Action: Self exclude until year end, this time for sure.

btw: if you don't play at Betfair - you don't know what you're losing.

there's no reason to lose your entire bankroll in poker, especially online. If you bankroll gets low you should be playing micro limits which you should be able to profit in with your eyes closed after reading one book. You're either tilting, playing too high limits, or you're just not taking in the strategies that are available.

Yeah this sounds like poor BR management to me.

Correct BR management and its always there. Took me about 2 years to accept that concept. I would get hot and figure I need to step up while Im hot and lose another BR. Happened to me 1000 times. Not anymore.

Anyone without self-control should definitely look to quit playing poker, and gambling altogether for that matter.
