Haven't complained much lately cause my hands have held up on FT for once!! I won a 110 man 8.00 buyin and finished 4th out of 180 in an 8.00 tourny. Build my BR up to 400 + 2.75.00 tokens so I thought it was time to play with the big boys...50.00 (50,000 guaranteed) and the big double (2 75.00 tournies with chances to earn extra $$$ for double cashing & double final table). WHAT A NIGHT OF BAD BEATS!!!
50.00 buyin, got my AA all in vs QQ preflop and he hit quad Qs to knock me out. Would have been sitting great!!
75.00 flop idiot hit a flush (16%) calling vs my set after the turn. Had 8 outs and that knocks me out of the tourny.
Just once I'd like my odds to hold on a big buyin...and not have these idiots catch.

Never once said I could manage my bankroll...read the post. Also said, I'd like my odds to hold up in a big buyin....F variance.

I have sorta read this thread through.
But my thoughts are simple.
Please deal me AA every hand and get my opponent to call every all in I do with 99.

hey, im new on this site..from what ive read, sweeper22 talks alot about the bad beats hes endured...i personally think poker is a game that is %90 percent skill and %10 luck, LONG TERM...yes, LONG TERM....so if u go a month with a negative ROI, u have to see the big picture....im a losing tournament player but a big winning middle limit cash game player and have no intention of moving up...the reason i lose in tourneys, is coz i enjoy tourneys without the intention of making money..according to my poker tracking software i make $35 an hour playing cashies....and at times ive lost $500 in the space of about 30 minutes...i dont come on here and cry about it sweeper22...ive been out played lots of times, and been unlucky...just play your best, and good luck at the tables ( SOOK! )

im back..lol...as for players being all in preflop against you with hands like 10 8 off suit and 6 2 suited etc when u have A K...maybe they are good players making a play at you and caught bluff....i have made many " squeeze " plays against 2 over aggressive players and have been called when im holding something like 7 6 offsuit...and embarassed when i catch a pair of 7's to take down the pot...happens all the time, theyre not an idiot, youre the idiot for going on tilt and losing half ur bankroll after that ONE bad beat

LOL... I understand that concept. I"m talking about the people who call with 67...not push.

How do you outplay someone who pushes all in with 67 (say..vs my AK or high pocket pair). These idiots dont' rely on outplaying anyone...but just outdrawing them.

AK is only around %60 favourite over a hand that isnt a pair...so ur not that far in front, even tho IT IS AK
..with that said theres a difference betwee calling with AK and being the first to push with AK....calling an all in bet with AK when ur committing ur entire stack is usually gambling unless ur certain ur opponent has AQ or less and u have him dominated...if he has a pair that is QQ its just a coin flip, and most pros will try to avoid calling all in with AK, unless theyre either short stacked and they need a quick double up or they just like AK lol...good luck
