True story
I'm dealt AA action don't matter, flop is A6X with good action and me and another player are all-in, turn is 6. he of course has pocket 6s. VERY NEXT HAND, I am dealt AA, flop is A8X, me and another player are all-in turn is 8, he has pocket 8s.
Know what I did.... I laughed. Variance, how you deal with it is what separates pros from joes.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

Law of Averages is over an indefinate time period. It could be one million years before your luck changes to a break-even level. You might not live long enough to benefit from the right play through variance.

this depends on the percentages. It won't take a million years to see a coin flip even out to close to average. However it could take a long time for a million to 1 shot to come through. It's more the law of big numbers.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
