I wouldn't worry about this too much. A lot of sites require you to do this (sometimes more than this) as a precaution. The main reason is because they are liable if money laundering occurs. The second reason is that they want you to keep your money in there so that you play more...obviously.

Regardless, this is standard. Just send them in your info. After that, they hopefully will not ask anymore questions.

Ive always cashed out larger amounts and I have always had to send in a photo ID. Sometimes it has to do on what kind of method you deposit with to protect against fraud. And sometimes it just has to do with they don't want you to withdraw so they make you jump through hoops.

Pissed me off when UB did it, but apparently it's pretty standard.
