Excuse me but I have put quite a bit of time in at NL2, NL5 and NL10. They are anything but tough levels to beat. Like I said, if you have problems beating those levels you need to examine your play, not everyone elses.

It's variance. And by playing so many hands more online than you do live, you will even out the variance quicker and so your bottom line winrate/loserate will become apparent sooner. This is why so many "bad" players will say they win easily live but do terrible online, it's cos they haven't played enough hands live to even out the variance and truly compare to online play.

The micros online are not difficult to beat, if you play simple ABC poker with decent understandings of the fundamentals you can beat 100nl (I haven't played enough at higher levels to comment). Table selection is also more important online as you have the option of switching whenever you feel like it. There's no excuse to be sat next to 3 TAG grinders at nl10 when loads of tables are full of fish.

It's very simple, if you play your A game and can't beat the micros, you don't stand a chance at higher levels.

I frequently play the guaranteed tourneys on PS. For the rebuy period of the tourney I feel like more of a spectator. Thats when I notice it most. All in over and over with ridiculous hands hoping to gain a monster stack of chips.

I just sit there and wait until I get a hand I feel like going all in with hoping they do it again. More often than not I sit there and watch someone else build there stack off of their stupidity.

It's not stupidity, they're trying to build a stack for later in the tournament and they don't mind putting in a few buyins to give them a proper chance at the big money.

No, no, I went from playing live games to playing online, and it's much different. I'm not used to someone calling a raise with a face rage, and this happens all the time online. I've gotten better at playing online, but seriously, if you start off playing online it's a lot harder. I had this dude, who mostly only played online come to a live came and he seriously couldn't understand why people folded so quick. I can't just make myself play like a donkey. But it's cool because I found the problem. I just have to play with more money. The bigger buy-ins that I play in the less I get sucked out on, and I'm fine with that.
