Default OK I need an official breakdown here.

1. Are these poker sites rigged in any way? Do they skew hands so that on average there is a bigger pot size (for a bigger rake) than normal?
2. How Illegal is it to play on these sites if you are in the US?
3. Can you withdraw your money in the form of a personal check?

I need the lowdown, because If I am going to start playing online, I need to be informed. Any info you have will be appreciated.

1. Do you want me to lock this thread?
2. Not illegal afaik, it's to do with companies financing your gambling more than anything right?
3. I assume so.

I have to recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

1. Poker is rigged. Ask anyone who is in the red.
2. It's not illegal for you as a US citizen to play. It is illegal for financial institutions to facilitate the transfer of $$
3. Cashing out isnt something 85% of people ever have to worry about, so dont get hung up on this one.

Why would I want you to lock this thread? I am simply asking if in general, online poker is rigged?

Everyone here plays Tbird... do you think we would play if we thought it was rigged? Also, a simple search (you see it on the left hand of the page?) will show you dozens of threads with people asking exactly the same question. It gets pretty annoying from the regulars point of view.

no, online poker is not rigged. There was one instance at absolute poker one of the empoyees was able to see everyones cards. Search "potriper" on youtube for a video of this. Stick with the biggest name such as full tilt or poker stars and there is nothing to worry about

Yea, I understand. Im a regular at other forums, and that kind of stuff does get annoying. I will say though that when playing online poker I get alot more "good" hands than I would playing a live game...

Do you realize that you also see as many as 10 times more hands in a given time period

That just means it's rigged in your favor. You should move up to the high stakes imo
