I'm a regular at pokerstars and i have played at various sites in the past and more recently aswell. The other day i played at betfair in a freeroll tournement (first wins a seat to wsop europe). Anyway while on there the hands i got dealt were so different to what i'd expect on pokerstars. e.g. i'd get dealt hand after hand like q3, j5, 25, k3 etc etc. i wait a while for an Aj or Aq etc. i also noticed more sick bad beats. Since i've been with pokerstars i don't think i've had a straight beat by a flush, but 40 hands in on betfair and i get one.

I suppose what i'm trying to say is has any1 else noticed differences between poker sites? Does any1 believe like me that there are differences? Do different sites RCG's have different personalities?

i'm not saying they are necessarily inacurate. i just think they are extremely hard to design completely random, and so starting hands may tend to follow a particular pattern.

i also think they are certainly not 100% random because when a dealer shuffles it is left to fate where the cards fall (no1 has any say on what card is shuffled to any particular position in the deck!), yet with a RCG the software still needs to tell the computer which cards to deal. In order to get a RCG as random as a dealer shorly you would require infinate sized math software to accomodate this?

If u can be bothered to read this, i'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Maybe i'm just going mad! lol
