Angry Absolute Poker: you better make sure you like your avatar

I opened an account at Absolute Poker some time ago, and chose a "V for vendetta mask" as avatar, since I like the movie. But it got old after a while so I tried to change the image. I tried to put some poker cards in the avatar, but Absolute rejected it saying they can "confuse" players. According to Absolute, I can only change the avatar once, and since the last picture got rejected, now I'm stuck with my avatar FOREVER. I asked them to at least delete the image and leave it blank, but they won't do it.
Isn't that a little harsh on players?

I can't beleive AP or anyone would treat customers like that? Do you play often? Consider sending one more polotely written e-mail asking where their "rules" regarding the avatar are. You are sorry your one change request was inapporpriate (have you seen anyone else with cards for their avatar) and you hope they value you enough as a customer to please give you one more chance. If not, there are like a billion other sites that will be happy to take your money.

This is another reason why I like PKR. You can continually change your character... t-shirt one day, suit another, base ball cap, tatoos, whatever you want... No you dont have to spend any time at all worrying about it, but it's there if you want.

pokerstars allows only 1 change also. Probably to help players ID other players.

Nah, they give you notes to track players. I understand the "rule" of 1 change as there support staff have to approve pics to make sure they're not offensive or otherwise inapproriate. With millions of customers, they would need a team of 100 people full time to vet all the requests if they allowed us to do it whenever we want.

However, all rules should have exceptions available... you just dont publish it.

    AP suck.

I put a picture of the welsh flag as my avatar (the exact same one I have on Stars) and they rejected it as it was "inappropriate". Fuckers.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

i dont understand the hate for AP

decent bonus(although once a whole lot better), decent RB, a steady stream of games, a steady stream of donks & nitty nits.....its not my favourite room to play but i dont mind them all that much.
