VC poker attracts around 1000 players for a $5 freeroll giveaway, i actually think this is disgusting, people will play hours of poker, the winner will recieve $1.25, how on earth can you even bother registering?

Cheapest Freeroll

I lol'd at the title of this thread.

Some people just want to practice with the chance of making some money (even $1) and no risk. Not everyone plays poker to win millions, some just want to have a laugh.
And with no-one limping to get to the money (as it doesn't matter one bit) you get more practice in trying to win the tourney. Alot of players will enter MTT's with big prizepools but freeze around the button trying to cash, you want to aim for the top 3 spots and these low giveaway tourneys make you do that imo.For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

06-17-2007 #3Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R
KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

That's good then, it's practice at playing loose-aggro players.
I used to play the VC freerolls when I first started with poker, in amongst the 2/4c cash games. I once final tabled the $5 free-roll and got 75c for 8th/~450. Not much money but it gave me a hell of alot of confidence.
