Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if someone may be able to fill me in on what is going on with my account.

Just to give you some background,

On Monday I deposited (via instacash) approx 3k into my party poker account and played for quite a while, mostly heads up or three handed at the high limit tables. I had a good day and by the end of it was up to about 10k. When I tried to log back on my account had been closed. Of course the first thing I did was contact customer service and they were very pleasant, they said they were putting a temporary hold on my account until the instacash deposits cleared from my bank account. I think Party Poker is a pretty reputable site, however; this was unexpected and I do feel a bit uncomfortable with it. I appreciate it is essentially staked money when you instacash and it is possible they may be just protecting thier own interests in the 3k Has this happened to anyone else?

Any ideas and suggestions will be appreciated, and I will certainly follow up with the end result for all interested.

they are probably just verifying everything is ok, they are most likely checking for information to make sure the money isn't from a stolen CC or its not a real deposit.

as long as you did nothing illegal like use someones CC then you have nothing to worry about..

























oh wait... you said party poker? say good buy to your money, they scam people on deposits left and right why did you deposit there?!?!??!

It can be so that the money you won came from a stolen credit card and they are checking to see that you won the money fair and square.

Heads up games are very good for chip-dumping and this in combination with your new deposit might have triggered an automatic fraud watchdog
Once they see that you were playing for real, your account will be released.
