Yes i think you can "bank" ticket steps. I think the 10 tickets sratergy would work quite well, might give it a go that way.

I got it just from this:

    31250 = 1st round
    31250 x .2 = 2nd round
    6250 x .2 = 3rd round
    1250 x .2 = 4th round
    250 x .2 = 5th round
    50 x .2 = 6th round

That's without the players that get to replay for finishing 3rd and 4th.

Either way they're making ALOT of $$$ from those.
My way included the fact players get to replay in rounds 1-5 if they finshed 3rd or 4th. Hence why my number was lower.

Players get to re-play finishing as low as 7th in some steps, for example finish 7th in step four, you will get a shot at step 2 again.

Ok send me a link the actual structure and rules, couldn't find it on their site. Then I can redo the math.

That's what I thought. Your using 1/4th of the players for that when it's actually 1/5th.

If you remove that and just try to get the number of entries without that you come out with 4.096 players at the 6th round.

    That makes alot more sense.

I haven't played at PP in a year and didn't know the step up SNGs at all.

I suggest you give um a go, competition is easy in the early steps, gets a little tuffer around 4-5 step. I tend to play more aggresive at steps 4-5 as alot of players tighten up as you go on.

Here are my new calculations with the updated information given:

    1st round: 7667.5 ( 5717.3 + [7667.5 x 0.2] + [2083.5 x 0.2] = 7667.5)
    2nd round: 2083.5 ([7667.5 x 0.2] + [2083.5 x 0.2] + [550 x 0.2] + [133.3 x 0.2] = 2083.5)
    3rd round: 550 ([2083.5 x 0.2] + [550 x 0.2] + [133.3 x 0.1] + [50 x .2] = 550)
    4th round: 133.3 ([550 x 0.2] + [133.3 x 0.1] + [50 x .2] = 133.3)
    5th round: 50 ([133.3 x 0.3] + [50 x 0.2] = 50)
    last round: 10 (50 x 0.2 = 10)

So I think for every final table Party Poker gets 5717.3 entrys.

    5717.3 x $3 = $17151.9

Therefore they are still making alot of money considering the final table prize pool but it isnt as much as before.
