Party Poker Coming Back?

I've read nothing about this, but there's almost no way Party will reenter the US market unless online poker becomes explicitly legal.
Party is a publicly traded company, and cannot risk blatantly ignoring U.S. law like that.If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.

I wouldn't count on it, not in a very close future at least. They're doing very good on the european market right now and I think that's what they'll focus on for the time being. Maybe they'll also look into asia a bit more in the future.

Party
There's no reason to even try...
Certainly the traffic would have hit Party badly but companies do not profit from trying to change a Countries legislation - it is too expensive and is unlikely to work.
Pokerstrars has been hit very hard with the Neteller things - I'm not sure that after that there won't be people in PS seriously asking about withdrawal from a high risk market.
Bottom line is that there is now more reason to leave the US alone and pursue other undevleoped countries.
Its interesting at Party at the moment - its basically turned into the B2B network (full of Swedes and Germans). No company likes losing a major secotr of the market - but it happens all the time and Party will continue to be successful without the USASee me playing $10/$20NL like it was play money

Game play at Party Poker
I used to have an account at Party Poker. However, I withdrew all my funds before the deadline passed for enforcement of the Internet Gambling Act began.
In my opinion, america will try and find a few players and sites to make a media circus of. The point will be to scare the bejesus out of players in America.
Until the first few arrests and trials happen we cannot know the true state of online poker play.
Until that happens, I will not put money into a gambling site and risk the exposure, arrest and trial that may follow.
Hence, if Party Poker opens it's doors again to American money I would warn players to beware. Big brother IS watching.

I don't think they will go after players, only banks and sites that enable transactions.
The way the original Wire Act as well as the latest Enforcement Act are written, it is expressly forbidden to facilitate money transfers, but not to actually place the wager.
It should also be noted that it is mainly sports betting that they've cracked down on, as the language in the Acts singles this action out. Poker is still a gray area, and the DOJ wouldn't want to have a defense successfully challenge this for poker specifically. There's enough for the govt to choose from on just sports betting. If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.
