I'm a US based player and play poker daily.
With the recent shut-down of NetTeller, I'm going to assume that eventually the other sites (click2pay etc) will be under the FBI's watch.
So, I guess I'm wondering, how long will this last? Will click2pay also be shutdown in 3 months? Then what?
Is there anything being done in the US to appeal these ridiculous laws?

they will find a way.
paypal stepped away from poker a few years ago and everyone freaked out, now what?
neteller stepped up.
now other sites will step up
ultimately it won't go away, because why wouldn't the US govt want tax dollars out of the poker kitty........
they'll make it as hard as they can
then a new type of payment processor will appear.....one that taxes withdrawls

The only way America will let you play online is if the site you play on pays tax to the US government. They are based on US soil. All their records are made available to the government. The players that win get taxed and the players that play are based in a state that allows gamblig.

Worse comes to worse you send a money order to the poker room. Thats an option thats currently available. Then they send you a check. Its not the 1 minute microwave service everyone is accustomed to but it works.

I read somewhere that U.S. casinos had taken a interest in starting their own online poker rooms.
A glimmer of hope that poker will be exempted (eventually) from the wire act, after extensive lobbying of course. If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.
