Brazil: Blacklisted? How Unfortunate..

Greetings everyone!

I am new to the forum and generally new to online poker. I live in Brazil, and unfortunately it seems that websites which issue "free cash" on partypoker simply cannot trust people from our country. This is quite sad, since I am not trying to scam though I'm being affected by the sick behaviour of other fellow brazilians

I want to deposit money, but it seems that brazilian creditcards impose some sort of barrier. To make a long story short, I get a message saying that the bank did not authorize the transaction.

Does anyone have any useful suggestions to solve my problems? I play MANY tournaments here in Brazil, but I want to take my game to a higher level and begin to play online.

Seriously, if I could put as little as 5 dolars on PSTARS, I could surely build...I just wanna play, kinda desperate to tell the truth!

Do you have Western Union or a similar money-wiring service down there?

Or, take a look at Neteller. You can move money from your bank account into Neteller, and from Neteller to the poker sites. This is the setup I use.

We generally have issues using credit cards here in the States too. Land of the free, yeah, right...

what is the minimum amount for a possible transfer in pstars and ppoker?

I will try to convice an american friend who plays to donate like 5 bucks max .. lol

Open a Neteller account and use your credit card to fund it. After that you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Its not just Brazil that blocks credit cards. A lot of US banks do it too. I have two bank accounts and neither of them will let me deposit to a poker site because they have payments to gambling sites blocked. Which is pretty stupid really as its my money in the account and I should be allowed to spend it how I choose, provided im not overdrawing myself.
