First of all, i'm glad you didn't do the usual "it's all a f***ing fix, f*** pokerstars, f***ing cheaters" etc. etc. and actually tried to make a point intelligently!

Anyway, think about it this way, you hit your two pair/set and reckon you're 2-1 favourite. You bet the flop, turn and river, getting called all the way. You show your hand and then you see "muck" from them. For all you know they were on that flush/straight draw and missed (and were pretty stupid to keep calling but hey some people are). This happens twice and they muck both times. Later on you're playing (possibly a different table) and you do the same thing. This time they show the straight/flush and you lose. Statistically this is correct but because you didn't see the other 2, all you think about is the bad beat you took. If this happens alot, you'll think you're either incredibly unlucky or getting scammed.

The point is, we only seem to notice when we get a bad beat, the others we put to the back of our minds because they were "right" and we just forget.

Hope that makes sense .

First time poster.....

Maybe this has been said already, but enough with the complaints about online suckouts. Why in the world would a multi-BILLION dollar industry jeopardize all that money to cheat players. As for people who say they got rivered in a $1000 pot for their whole roll and blame stars, again, why would they do this. It is in site's best interest to have people trade small amounts back and forth to get more rake. In tournament, poker after the juice has been paid, it doesn't matter to them who wins. They have everything to lose and nothing to gain by cheating players. Of course you are going to see more suckouts online. You see about 10 times the amount of hands that you see live. It's all an illusion that there are more bad beat. Lastly, if you think online poker is rigged, don't play. Plain and simple. But don't keep dumping money onto a site and then cry wolf because you can't figure out how to beat the game. Hope my first post was controversial enough.

Someone posted a great link on here a few months ago that gave a really strong argument about how online poker couldn't possibly be rigged. Does anyone have the link?

I've found a site with reviews of all internet poker softwares and lotsa ppl feel the same way about pokerstars. There are just way toomany sucksouts including 1 and 2 outters hiting on the river.

Now I know many people just ignore the issue because they are ingrained to instantly believe that pokerstars wouldnt be rigged. Some might ignore the issue because theyd rather believe it isnt rigged without much detail...or some might ignore it because they truly agree that pokerstars is a legit site.

These are the kinds of issues that the majority of ppl ignore in the begining and at the end...people realize, how could we have missed that?

I personally think there is something fucked up about the site.

This should be an arguement, but if your going to argue...have an open ear about BOTH sides, otherwise donk the fuck off.

Thoughts?
This is ridiculous. If you play a lot and get too many suckouts, there's something fishy about your play.

In the long run, you get the same amount of good cards and good flops as everyone else does.

Since I feel this way about PS, theres no point in depositing anymore. Only thing I like about PS is the tournament selection...but sacrifices have to be made sometimes.

w/e.
1.) If you feel this way, you won't play well and this is a strong, disciplined decision that you're making.

2.) Stars cash games suck. The players have little to no gamble, play too analytically, and wait around too much. The competion is too tight and the producers are hard to find and exploit because the sharks fight too much over there.

Party is the juiciest for cash and the only place I'm playing cash games right now as I'm taking it easy.

i tried clearing @ 25nl on stars (as well as watching nl50 to see if I should do it there), and those games are the most weak passive things I have ever seen.
