After record attendance at the Main Event this year, day 3 is over and less than 900 players remain in the running. Up to 693rd place will pay. In fact that bottom pay out is guaranteed to be at least $19,359. If you caught some of the live coverage on ESPN yesterday, which has a 30-minute delay, you know just how intense the competition has become. This is the first year that semi-live coverage of the Main Event has been available and will continue through July 19th when the November Nine will be determined.
As it stands, the chip leader is Patrick Poirier from Tupper Lake, New York with 1.3+ million chips. Some former WSOP champions still remain including Berry Johnston, Carlos Mortensen, Phil Hellmuth, and Robert Varkoni. Other well-known players still in the tournament include Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Rousso, Todd Brunson, Humberto Brenes, and many others.
Do you think any of these players, specifically Hellmuth, will make it to the final table?

Hellmuth got canned
I watched ESPN2's 7pm EST show and didn't know of any of the players there in their feature table. I saw Todd Brunson come in though. Kinda cool because I had just read about Todd from Doyles book. He got big
LOL.
Jonathan Duhamel got knocked out too. So, we will have a new champ. I think the Final Table is gonna be mostly no names or maybe people I just don't know of.

I agree that the November Nine will likely be a table full of young 'ens that are not well knowns. Actually 44 of the 57 remaining are under 29 years old!
