Default ESPN to cover 2011 WSOP

I tried posting this in the News forum, but it said I didn't have permission.

Yea I've got to play with the permissions, although I'm not sure I want everyone to have the ability to post news or we will get bombarded with spam links and duplicate posts. I believe Kid had it set so members could only reply.

As for the WSOP coverage, I was reading something about it being live with a little delay? If so, that would be pretty cool. A good way to mix it up, although it wont be as exciting as only watching the big hands.

The live coverage isn't anything new... Jamie Gold's final table was on pay-per-view... nice to see that I don't have to pay for it this time though

I'd imagine they could make a lot of money if they did the live thing as a webcast with some nice poker room offers next to it. And then just broadcast the big stuff on TV.

I know they've done it before, but this is as close to live as it can be on TV (basic cable)

BTW, I did not know they had poker events on PPV now! WTF?! Wish I didn't find that out! I had to move a couple years ago and got stuck with the "Free Satalite TV" included in the rent. Yeah, it's free, but no PPV. no On-Demand, no start-over, no on-screen guide, no soft-core HBO porn I miss you Time Warner Cable.

    I'm drifting into land. Sorry.
