WSOP day 8 preview: Can anyone stop Phil Ivey

There are likely just three well known poker players rooting against Phil Ivey:

Jeff Shulman and Antonio Esfandiari; because they are still alive in the Main Event of course! And Jeff Lisandro, who after winning three bracelets in all three stud variants figured he would go down as 'THE STORY' of the 2009 WSOP.

With 27 players remaining it looks like Ivey is poised to have the greatest WSOP in history; all he has t do is win the Main Event!

Ivey and a group of six players are only chasing chip leader Darvin Moon's monster stack of 20,160,000: Followed by Billy Kopps 15 million stack. The six players all have between 10 million and 11.8 million in chips: Ivey has 11.35 million, Jeff Shulman has 10.17 million.

Further down the leader-board is another well known name, Antonio Esfandiari, with 4.47 million in chips. Antonio was able to come back a bit after falling below 3 million.

Antonio is out in 24th place --Ivey took big hit and is down to 6 miilion chips. Also, the last woman went out today, Leo Margets, 27th place

Watching Leo's run was fun. I hope that a solid return and improvement on position happens next year. My wife actually was willing to watch with me just because of the presence of Leo. She pointed out, anecdotally, that sometimes Margets looks super hot and other times she looks super old. I didn't really notice/care, but her play did seem to kinda mirror her physical appearance!
