The Player of the Year (POY) leader-board looks like a who's who of poker this year: With household names like Ivey and Negreanu, along with top pros like Steve Sung, Brock Parker, Jeff Lisandro, and Jason Mercier.

Through 29 of the 57 events the top 10 shake out like this:

#1 - Ville Wallbeck: 255 points. The Fin won his first bracelet in the $10,000 Mixed Championship, and finished second in the $10k 2-7 Championship, and third in the $10k Stud Championship. Apparently, if you put the word Championship in the event title Wallbeck will find his way to the final table!

#2 - Phil Ivey: 225 points. 2 bracelets (#'s 6 & 7), 4 cashes, and oh yeah....He's Phil Ivey! Ivey has basically cemented his place as the best poker player out there with his performance so far this year.

#3 - John Brock Parker: 220 points. Like Ivey, Parker has won 2 bracelets --6-handed limit, and 6-handed no limit-- and has 1-upped Ivey with a total of 5 cashes. Parker's wins came in back to back events, similar to Jeff Madsen's a few years back.

#4 - Pete Vilandos: 175 points. Won the $1,500 NLHE, and finished 2nd in the $1k stimulus tourney.

#5 - Steve Sung: 160 points. Won the $1k stimulus tournament, and finished 3rd in the $10k 2-7 Championship.

#6 - Daniel Negreanu: 155 points. 4 cashes, and 2 final tables so far, including a runner-up finish to Parker in the 6-handed Limit Event.

#7 - Jeff Lisandro: 150 points. Lisandro has 3 cashes, and picked up his 2nd bracelet in the $1,500 Stud tourney.

#8 - Jason Mercier: 147 points. Won his 1st bracelet in the $1,500 PLO, and has 3 other cashes.

#9 - Roland DeWolfe: 145 points. Won the $5k Omaha 8 title, and has 3 other cashes to his credit.

#10 - Scott Clements: 135 points. Clements has a 2nd and 3rd place finish in Omaha 8 events: runner-up in the $10k, and 3rd place in the $5k.
