Day 3 of the AU$10,500 Aussie Millions Main Event concluded today with 28 players left in contention. Sadly absent were Wesley Whybrew and Nick Gaskin. Unlucky, boys.
Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad, WSOPE 2007 winner.
Among the chip leaders is Annette Obrestad, making yet another deep run in a big buy-in tournament. One notable absence is Patrik Antonius, potentially the most dangerous player in the field before he was eliminated in 41st place.
Michael "Timex" McDonald and Clonie Gowen also fell short today, however online pro Richard Ashby and WSOP 2008 final tablist Kelly Kim are still chipped up and ready to go.
In other news, former Aussie Millions Main Event champion and author of Kill Phil and Kill Everyone Lee Nelson took down the $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event. David "Chino" Rheem continued his hot streak with a final table at the PLO with rebuys and WSOPE 2007 runner-up John Tabatabi won the $5,300 NLHE HU tournament.
