Amarillo Slim is to have a biographical movie made of him. According to online movie database IMDB the lead role is to be played by world-famous actor Nicholas Cage.
The film was written by Christopher Wilkinson who penned the Oscar-nominated biopic Ali starring Will Smith as the legendary boxer.
Amarillo Slim, born Thomas Austin Preston, Jr. on the last day of 1928, is one of gambling's legends. As well as having won four WSOP bracelets he has numerous cash game and side bet winnings.
The film is scheduled for release in 2009.

Anyone actually rate nick Cage as an actor, he is so wooden, his facial expression and voice remain the same in every film he does. I really can't understand why he keeps getting these big parts.
