I reckon gus had him on 9T suited...and when he announces all-in on the turn it pretty much says "How much do you want to catch that flush?".

Yes when Brian Hastings opens the button, calls a standard sized 3bet 220bb deep in position and then calls a 953r flop it is rather easy to put him on squarely and ask him how much he wants to catch the flush.

That's exactly what I said when i saw the hand and results, and all I can say is Gus Hansen may be a "great" poker player, he is also one Lucky mo-fo. I just finished his Book "Every Hand revealed", a great read but one that leaves you seriously questioning just how much "Skill" is really in the game of NL Holdem that the best players seemingly have, versus just being Blessed in life NOT to have catastrophes visited upon them.

It might not be "Getting Lucky" as much as it is avoiding being "Unlucky", or avoiding those situations where you do everything right or even EXCEPTIONAL, And yet still lose your ass.

But life really is f**ked when some lucky turd can make more money clicking a mouse (i.e. for doing absolutely NOTHING) than 99% of the world's population will ever see in an entire lifetime of working.

I hope he loses double that next month to some 34 yr old Brazillian Transexual from Sao Paolo who is logged onto his/her Employer's computer using a stolen credit card while listening to the "Girl from Impanema" eating Papaya.
