Default Official WCOOP buy-a-share thread: IIAv8tionII

    TOTAL SHARES: 100
    SHARES RESERVED: 10
    SHARES AVAILABLE: 90

It's that time of year again, and I am selling shares for a $1,000 WCOOP bankroll.

For each $10 share, you are entitled to 0.6% of the net profits of the total series that this bankroll is used for, as well as the initial $10 investment return.

For example, if I end up with $21,000 at the end of the series, $1,000 is returned to each shareholder along with 0.6% of the net profit of 20k, which is $120. Therefore, each share at the end of the series will be paid $130.

I am doing it this way as opposed to selling shares for each event like I have in the past in order to reduce variance and allow the maximum possibility of a substantial ROI to each shareholder.

I will update the amount of shares available here, and send all share orders to IIAv8tionII on pokerstars and also post a message here with your PS screenname and amount of shares so I can keep track of you. Thank you all, and i wish a successful WCOOP to all of us.

Final note to mods... I discussed this with Tyler and he said it was OK.

I looked you up on officialpokerrankings.com and it shows -81% ROI, and no + % on any of the sites you play on. :-/
I'd buy a share, but i need to see some stats.

i havent been much on an online player over the past year or so.... so i don't have any online stats... I've played live over the past few years, and have made enough to help pay for flight school as well as some nice vacations. I am getting back into the swing of things online, and i can still play very well online. (just ask Did_Weed and the reads i made for and against him...)

Overall, I have 11 online tournament wins with countless cashes and final tables over the 5-6 years I've been playing. I have far more tournament experience than I did in the pervious WCOOP events I have entered, and I feel that this will have a positive outcome.... after all, if i didnt think I was gonna make money from this.. I wouldn't still be doing it...

Lastly... if I am a little short on sold shares by the end of this I do plan on possibly buying a few shares myself in order to keep more money for me

P.S. I'm the only back-to-back PFO Tournament winner

i've sold about 10% of the shares so far... my "stats" have no bearing on my ability to play... especially considering my account has pretty much been open for my college buddies to play tournaments and donk off tons of money in SnGs... I have played very little on the account myself as far as tournaments go... since I had a poker room not 5 minutes from where I lived I had little use for it... that is why I said i dont have any stats and that whatever it says in OPR is invalid.... people know that I am a solid player who has played in the WCOOP 3 out of the last 4 years and can make them money... which is why i expect all the shares to eventually sell out...

Sorry to call you out here but since I got involved on Neverbeg I have heard variations of people's money being donked off by friends/relatives/pets/intruders many, many times and I am not convinced it has ever been true.
Stats are everything. If you can't show any track record of playing in online MTT's then there is no reason for us to back you on a bit of anecdotal evidence provided by yourself.

I could sit down and play $5000NL with 4 solid regs three times and lose money all 3 times. If I sit again in the same game I COULD win people money, however it would still be a -EV investment.

I think you're a great player, but it's gonna be hard to cough up the 1k for the reasons WotaWaster mentioned.

    x2, and x3.. I'm that good, i can x3 posts.

Would you bet on a horse who you know could win, and is a fast horse, but his stats in your betting book show that he hasn't won much and his stats are not that good?

I could, but i wouldn't. But good luck.

    1) Wota is a traitor for putting down me and my ability to play... he has been around here for a long time and knows I am a solid tournament player... maybe he has spent too much time over at NB staking random people and staring at numbers to remember that...

    2) I'm already a decent way through the shares because people do know me as a solid player and a very good investment. All the longer-time people on this forum know my abilities when it comes to this, and many have invested and many more are planning on investing when they come up with the money.

3)I don't understand why anyone on this forum would ever start jumping on the bandwagon against me... I have been here longer then pretty much every other active poster still on the forum. I have done paypal transfers for countless people, made plenty of people money in past investments, and even provided coaching and mentoring for a few startup players or those wishing to improve their game

    4) A well-known history of winning and playing well throughout the years I have been on this forum is hardly "anecdotal evidence"

Im not posting this to smash Wota and his very poor choice of words and his hostile attitude toward me the past few months... I am just trying to sell shares for my tournament. Many people have already sided with me in my march to the bracelets, and I have no hard feelings for those who do not wish to invest... it is after all their money. However, those who criticize my playing ability or my ability to do well in this series just because they see a number that has absolutely nothing to do with my playing are either ignorant newcomers to the forum who have no idea about me or my history on this forum or people who are so consumed with their own personal issues to remember wht I have done over the years.

Sorry, I didn't mean to rant about anyone... I'm just trying to make money... just like the investors who have already thrown in over $100 of the $1,000 i need for this series.

To those who have shown faith in me and have invested, I greatly appreciate it, and I hope we will all be sharing a ton of money come september.

To those who have chosen not to invest, I understand your decision whatever the reason. Despite not investing, I still hope you will be on the rail come tournament time

Lastly, to Wota, I'm shocked at your reaction to this business proposition of mine. Given our history together and your time spent here I would have thought you would have been one of the first people to buy shares. Instead, you decide to slam me because of an arbitrary number that you personally know doesn't reflect my playing skill and ability. Instead of coming to my side and defending my ability, you decided to turn against me and jump on the bandwagon. I suppose it's easier to attack someone than it is to defend him, but expected better from you, and I am sad that you decided to do what you did.
