Hey,
I just happened upon the forum as I was looking for some learnin on the interwebs. After poking around for a few minutes, I decided it would be a worthwhile place to read and ask all the stupid questions I have about online poker.
I've been a play money player on Pokerstars for quite a while, and after a trip to Vegas and more than a few poker rooms, I decided to deposit some cash and start playing for some nickels and dimes. I've really been enjoying playing real money, and I'm hoping to keep learning and working my way into some larger stakes.
Aside from NLHE I play Badugi, 2-7 Lowball, and Omaha Hi-Lo. All for micro stakes. I play both ring games and Tourneys, I'm a much stronger Tourney player than a cash game player, although I'm a little puzzled as to why. That's part of what brings me here, I have a lot to learn...
Anyway, glad to be here.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Look forward to hearing of your progress.

Welcome to the forums. It's great that you've started out at the micro stakes. Playing for play money really doesn't teach you much about real poker.

Thanks
Thanks for the welcomes gentleman.
Yes I've noticed quite a difference in real money games as opposed to play money. I was a pretty tight play money player, so it's actually been a pretty easy transition, although at the low stakes I play I'm still seeing some loose, reckless play from my opponents, producing a few ridiculous suck outs... but nothing you can do about that I suppose.
Again thanks for the welcomes
