    Default Mornin!

Hello, my name is bubbleboy, and I'm addicted to poker...

Well, I'm from CO, started playing poker about 4 years ago in Arizona, and now I'm stationed in Japan. Well, actually, I'm currently in Korea, but I can't wait to go back to Japan...

I normally play tournament style home games, with the occasional 1-2 NL game, and I generally place bubble or better, hence the moniker. Usually the bubble though. I take solace in that fact, however, because it shows that I am at least consistent in my play with room to improve. I also take solace in the fact that there's never the same few people placing in the money ahead of me, I've just seen a lot of lucky players on their given night.

I've played in bar leagues, casinos, backrooms, and so forth, and I've dabbled online, but I usually like to read the person, so when online, all i have to go on is pattern recognition, and a much wider range than i would normally place a player on. I've had experience dealing for card rooms as well as bar league tournaments.

I have a tendency to make incredible calls with horrible results. An example would be holding jj, flopping KKJ, calling an all in to see A9off and watching running kings break my full house to quad kings, ace high.

I know everyone has bad beats, but I do catch them a lot. Therefore, I have a problem believing that there are 5 community cards, and would like to end most hands on the flop.

I think that the best quality in a poker player is the ability to fold. Gavin Smith is one of my favorite players. Example of this is folding pocket 7's preflop to a loose/agressive player's all in because there are 5 players behind me left to act. Of course on that hand, everyone called, and two 7's hit the flop, but I will take that as opposed to playing 7's against 6 people.

That probably sounds like a terribly easy fold to some, but the people I currently play with are unpredictable and tend to call or push all in with hands like J9 suited, or any ace, king or queen at all.

Well, that was long winded, but I feel i got it all out there!

May all your cards be live!

    Welcome to the forum.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.
