What are we lookign to do with the flop cap? I would prefer flat callign the 3 bet and hoping somebody else comes along for the ride. Then when Lcp opens again on the turn, you can then raise it for more value...

I actually thought about it flat flat calling the flop, then going for the extra bbs...With all the betting going on, I figured somebody was on trips. The more I pushed out, the more I would be able to avoid having to worry about if the board paired.

I almost posted this in stratagy corner, but really thought that there wasn't a whole lot of stratagy envolved with the hand and it would look like I was fishing for compliments...

You think? That means you're giving the guys with trips enough disipline to lay down trips. That's a little above my level, but that would be rare where I play.

I am glad to see everyone else thought the way I did. I don't play limit, but after reading TOP my 1st question was why make it 2 bets to the others. Your raise only got you 1 extra bet and drove 2 people out of pot who prob would have called one bet. I think the extra bets gained outweigh the small risk of someone hitting a boat.

Maybe I might give this "limit" thing a try.

Jamming the pot Trons isn't going to accomplish what you think, people with flopped sets will rightfully stay around. The players you are driving out are people with a the K or J of hearts or alternatively a medium to big PP, which is not unlikely from the PF action. In essense you keep the players with a decent chance of beating you and drive away the donators that need a miracle.

Calling the 3 bet here may have gotten the original bettor to call 2, the original raiser certainly would have called the 1 extra.

Oh well, still a nice hand.

From just glancing at the HH, even the original bettor would be getting about 4:1 to call the 3 bets, so if he had a set of 10s he shouldn't be going anywhere.
