Default Going well on Party

29 left in a $50/5 MTT on Party I'm about 4th in chips if anyone wants to watch. I'll hopefully be "in the zone" so won't check back here til I'm done.

More details later of one particularly recockulous hand

Cheers Beav and Trons

10th of 568 for $270

99 v AK flop had some kings in it at the end.

Lost a key race at the wrong time and failed to get any cards for the last hour when it's an allin fest. Would have liked to have been more assertive but never came together. Shame, big prize for first.

flop was AK5 on your 99 hand.

Not good.

Nice job.

My eyes stopped working when the A hit

Check this hand from earlier.

I was absolutely certain he was on the flush draw the way he played the flop, I'd been watching him for a while and if he had the Ace he wasn't betting, but still I was amazed to win the pot. I nearly lost out through failing to bet the river, I'm sure he thought about putting me all in and I don't know if I could have called.

You gave him pretty good odds on the turn there... that was kinda a weak bet... I think If I was him I ould have pushed the turn there with that bet of yours....

You're probably right Marm. I was left with 8000 or so chips after that bet and was preparing to rebuild from there. To be honest I was expecting a reraise or a fold from him on the turn. I was thoroughly confused by the hand to be honest despite strong feelings that he was drawing. Not my best play.

On the other hand, I know that I gave him odds to call, but the secret of my "success" is shepharding of my stack in tournies and making bets which are a lot smaller than most people would make in similar circumstances, but a lot more of them (I win over 50% of flops seen, I think this is probably good and a sign of aggression), there's more to it than that and I pay huge attention to the betting patterns of my opponents. I'm trying to write up what I do, but am struggling to quantify it at the moment. It's 3am here and I'm degenerating into gibberish. So good night folks
