Default Royal Flush Jackpot, baby!

I'm a bit drunk so excuse the spellling errors!

$3-6 HE at the Alladin on the strip.
Dealt to me button:

bunch of limpers, I just call.

Flop:
Check, UTG bets, I call. Everyone else folded.

Turn:

Both checked in front of me. I was not really focused on the high hand bullshit as I generally hate high hands because I think it makes people play bad poker, so I bet.

I bet, blind guy folds and UTG VISIBALLY counts the pot and when the dealer says "it's on you" he's actually says "hold on, I'm counting the pot". Bizarre that he would admit this, but I figure he has a low flush draw. He finally calls after like 2 minutes.

River:

UTG checks, I bet my Royal and then HE CHECKRAISES!!!! I was nice, I said "I reraise and you better call the floor!". He still called.

I flip up my royal and he shows KTo (not sure what suits) for the nut straight.

I won about a $50-60 pot plus $599 for the high hand jackpot. I tipped the dealer $50.

A poker players dream: You have a Royal Flush and you are CHECKRAISED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
I was beaming all night.

Well, ya gotta tip something or you are an ass. Vegas is a tip oriented city. I think $25 is absoute bare minimum and somewhere $30-40 would be "good", and $50 would be "great". We were playing shorthanded for awhile and the pots and tips had been really small so felt like doing a nice thing so chose "great". Plus the three bet on the river got me an extra $18 that was essentially stealing.......But it's all a matter of opinion, no right answer, how much would you have tipped?

3/6? usual tip is probably $1, right? I might have tossed a redbird the dealer's way. No way he's getting more than $10 though. Remember you contribute to that jackpot, it's not just like it's free.

If you're playing shorthanded (and its not liek 4am) you're doing the casino a favor by keeping the game going. If the floor doesn't cut the rake a few bucks, I'd certainly cut my tips.

You guys are entitled to your opinion and I'm no "tip nazi", but you are both cheap bastards. The dealer's income has nothing to do with whether the house drops a dollar for the jackpot or not. You have to be prepared to tip if you win a $600 jackpot. I think $50 may be the upper limit of reasonableness but <$20 is just plain cheap. I don't play in a casino to grind out every last dollar - I'd play online if all I cared about was money made. It's one of the "costs" of playing live.
$2? I'm stunned. And again, I'm not on a high horse here, I'm also not in the service industry, but that just blows my mind. Are you guys kiddding?

honestly its hard for me to say since this has never happened to me. that being said i THINK knowing how i am i would want to portray a certain image and tip at least 25-30. but it really is hard to say without actually being in the position. i generally tip 1-2 bucks on a pot up to 50. and 5 on a pot of 100+
