Default Oh how sweet!

No hand history...I still havent figured out how you guys post them. I'll ask that in another thread......

So I sit down at a .10/.20 on Royal Vegas. I only have time for a few hands.

2nd hand in.............On SB with 9 10 off.

5 limpers to me and I complete.

Sitting there thinking wouldn't it be nice to flop 6 7 8 rainbow.

Flop comes...6 7 8 rainbow.

I check hoping to get some action. Pot is only about 1.20. Person to my left overbets the pot for $5. Person next to him goes all in for his remaining $4. I could not belive me eyes.

As I hit the call button, I am praying the board does not pair.

Next card is a K still rainbow.

Down to BB, All in guy and me.

BB bets another $5. I call.

River is a blank.....the board did not pair.

I look at his stack and all thats left is $1.85. I bet that and he calls.

I know I have the nuts...................$20 some odd dollar pot on 2nd hand when I sat down with $20.

So what did they play?

Any guesses?

I'll post it in white.

Pocket 8's and Pocket 6's gotta love it!

I immediately got up and left the table as my wife came walking in right at that moment.

Pud,

I hear ya.......I just kept praying the board didn't pair cause I knew I was up against set over set.nothing else explained the action I was getting. I have been enjoying a good run, where when the chips go in I have the best hand and I have been avoiding the nightmare card hitting the board.....I know there are some bad beats on the horizon.

On Royal, my $10 free opener is now up to $78. Now that's a pretty darn good run. I have only really been tooling around with it for the last month or so.

I was going to move up to .25/.50, but I think I am going to hang around the .10/.20 for a little while longer.....maybe $100 or so.

I got to $101 on Royal Vegas and then playing the 10c/20c tables I lost 5 hands worth about $15 each to AA every time... I guess Royal Vegas didnt like me...

it almost makes you wonder of those "online is rigged" folks are on to something.

I think its more likely that as our Br's grow so does our aggressiveness which leads to more volatility. I am trying to play the same way now as I did @ $10. Slow and steady.

If my Stack gets up in the $30's I leave the table cause when I have a big stack I tend to get reckless. Something about hovering around the $20 buy in which helps me to stay within myself and play good values only.

I am definately finding that some of my tournament techniques work well in a ring game, but in general you need to be tight as a mosquitoes ass and play your hands fast unless you have the nuts.
