Default I love seafood...especially when I'm not it :)

Ok, I couldn't figure out how to do a screen shot with windows XP...my print screen button wouldn't put the screen into the clipboard to paste to paint...anyway...

I downloaded the trial version of PT today to try it for 1000 hands. I like it and have made it the goal of my first cash out. I played 892 hands today (jst couldn't get away from the tables ). Vpip=22.87 (not sure what this is, but see it talked about a lot). win amount is $16.97 (Keep in mind this is .05/.10 limit hold-em). bb/100=19.02...I topped out about 24bb/100, but had a couple really bad beats (Boat loses to quads type beats).

On Aug. 4th, I started with $15...I'm up over $60 now . Sorry, just had a really good day at the tables and wanted to talk about it

Nice man. You were running rediculously well today.

VPIP = voluntarily put money in pot = how loose you are preflop

expect to see around (if your good) 10/100. I'm doing about 6.5 at that level, Bea v was doing better..

It sounds like you are playing the right cards, 22% is considered a touch loose (18% is the 'theoretical goal'), but given the wins you had, sounds like you were running good, and your small sample size accounts for the higher %.

Now go and search here and the PT forum on ways to analyze your data to make you a better player. Ther crappy part is, you should really have about 10k hands to do any decent anaylis

Final numbers at 1000 hands (I know it's a small sample, and I have no expectations of maintaining this...jst a really good day)...

VpiP=23.5
Amount won=$21.67
bb/100=21.67
current BR=$67.34

I know it seems like I was a touch too loose, but that was more the cards coming my way...I had AA 9 times, KK 6 times, QQ 3 times and AK a total of 13 times...I'm no genius, but when your getting cards like that...that many times, it's kind of difficult to do poorly

Funny thing about jst having PT...I paid a lot more attention to how I played (or not played) certain hands and I noticed that there a lot of hands out there that I'm jst clueless on how to play (or whether I should be playing them, I kind of feel like I'm leaving money on the table because I'm not playing cards I should)...Guess somebody is going to the book store tomorrow for a little SSH. With my winnings today, I shouldn't have any trouble explaining to my wife that if I can do this well without the book, how much better can I become...

Gloating over...Today I was just extremely lucky. I'm jst happy I was

PS: Keep in mind at this level, there is no rake to beat. Not sure how that would have affected it.

Yeah, and my BB/100 isn't anywhere NEAR that. I HATE being one of the idiots.

If you're playing anywhere above the absolute smallest limits (.05/.1) then 10bb/100 just isn't realistic. 3bb/100 is considered winning. Game selection is really the biggest factor at the nano limit games.

I'm talking about my stats on Pokerstars .05/.10. The exact game Marm is talking about.

Also, Trons, sorry to burst your bubble but the reason your win rate is so high is because you've played so few hands. Come back around 10,000 hands, I'll give you a high-five if you're still doing 20bb/100.

Your VPIP is fine, and would seem to be a bit low since the deck has been hitting you in the face by your own admission. Other key stats you should keep an eye on are PFR (preflop raise), total postflop aggression, and won $ at showdown %.
