In that case, wanna play heads-up sometime?

If 10bb/100 is really average for a winning player at that level, then CLEARLY you're just the victim of terrible luck. I mean, your profile even says that you ROCK. How else could you possibly lose!!

The key skill at microlimits is value betting. Check-raising is pretty useless since the vast majority of microlimit players are loose-passive -- you certainly can't check-raise if no one bets.

Marm was talking out of his ass saying 10bb/100 is average. He is only at 6.5 like he stated. I am over 10BB/100, but I have had a lot of good hands.

Rake takes about 2BB/100, so 5-7bb/100 is probably attainable.

I also have no clue where he gets that 18% is some idea goal for VPIP.

The only number that really matters is WR. The looser your opponents are, the looser you can play (within reason) I think I was around 24%. If you play too tightly at loose tables you are losing money, just like if you are playing too lose at tight tables.

At the .25/.5 tables my VPIP is around 22%, at the .5/1 tables I am around 19%. My PFR% stays around 8% no matter what tables I am on.

Rake takes 2bb/100 at the nickel tables? Ididn't even know they were raked lol.

No boncher, rake takes about 2BB/100 at the typical raked tables - up until you get to the point where you are hitting the cap regularly. So, if 3-5bb/100 is doable at .25/.5 to 1/2, I figure 5-7 is realistic w/o rake.

Thought you were bright enough I wouldn't have to spell it out for you. I will try not to make that mistake again.

Obviously I'm not. I could have sworn we were talking about 5c/10c. It's my fault though I was just skimming.

He didn't say it was AVERAGE. He said that's a what a GOOD player should get. There are those of us bringing down the average.

for anybody who wants to know...my handle on stars is JstTrons...

my PFR was 3.6%
my W$SD% was 55.56%
and total Agression Factor was .94 (including Pre-Flop agression)

I thought I was playing very T/A...seeing these numbers I feel I wasn't playing tight enough given the great hands I was given. There were a few times my WR was up over 25bb/100 (once at 750 hands) so you can see that I have a lot to learn about hand selection and play...There were a lot of fish out there yesterday, and while I wasn't exactly a shark, I did dine at a sea-food restaurant.

A side note: I know that these numbers are not something I should expect every day. I've been playing .05/.10 for 2 weeks now. I'm usually happy if I walk away with $2-5 on a given day...(depending on how much I play of course). I did play a lot, that was the first day I'd come even close to 1000 hands...usually I'm good for about 200-500 which would put me in the realm of 10bb/100. That's one of the reasons I bothered posting was because I knew how lucky I was to do so well yesterday

Also, my longest single session (without a break of any kind) was about 3 hrs (I averaged 11.61bb/hr). About half way through that period, people started folding to me anytime I bet out post flop. I started playing a little differently at that point...Threw in a couple bluffs and started check raising. I notice this type of play from others after I've been at a table an hour or longer, if I'm doing well...

Don't worry, I won't let these numbers go to my head...This is the gloating section of the forums, and I had something to gloat about ...I have to work all weekend so I'll get a nice break from the tables, when I'm off next week, I'll go through and pull out some of my more interesting hands and post them for comments. I did really well, but I'm sure there are places where I either left money on the table or payed when I shouldn't have...I still have a lot to learn (My wife is going to the book store this evening for me to get SSH.)
