K7 utg? ick...Up to the Cutoff, definitely. Maybe in the HJ if I can get away with it.

    Congrats though!

Whats this hijack business....why they adding new names for seats xD

I wouldn't have open shoved with K7 lol Still could play poker with that stack. Ah well live and learn. Why such a low pay out for 29th!? $2 buy in and nearly 5,000 people geez. They should really pay out 10% instead fo 20% of people.

That is a pretty good finish tho

CO = 1 off of button
HJ = 2 off of button, it's easier to say that than MP+2 or whatever you call it.

To make it that far you have to have a decent starting hand selection. I wouldn't beat yourself up for your mistake though. Large field MTT's are a long, stressful minefield. It wears on you, and a person can only take so much, I know I've been there.

Middle postion seat 5 I'm now calling Median lmao Thats good to know knight thanks They started talking about hijack alot recently. Prob cause of the higher ease of stealing blinds from there?

No, because you can hijack the button from there, blinds still like to call raises from the HJ for some reason

I know this is a random bump, but for what it's worth I think the K7 shove is super standard. Someone above mentioned there being enough room to play poker, and there really isn't. You have 100k with 16k blinds -- that alone is only 6.5bbs. When you factor in antes, you're riding on 5. It's a good idea to shove here to maintain fold equity for when the blinds hit you.

I make this shove in a SNG pretty much always (some random spots I might not), so in a MTT it's a fist pump. I shove much wider too, including suited connectors.

I changed my mind and think you're right. (I can do this, yes?)
I wonder if it was 7 handed as well. Does Pokerstars have 9 handed tables for most tournaments?
