There is some value in playing short stacked. Sklansky makes a good case for it in one of his books. Its an interesting read really. Don't have to agree with it, just don't assume its wrong to play shortstacked.

If he was trying a bluff like that he should have waited for the flop or the turn to get it in. Would have been way harder for you to call that much. As played, Im with Av8tor009, unless you have a tight read on this guy. Then you made the right choice. Seems like a lot of people like to bet around 80% of your stack when bluffing.
But IMO more often than not, your in trouble when your facing that much aggresion pf.
