About LinkBacksPlayed a $100 buy-in tournament with 9 people at a buddy's house. They were all VERY experienced (one of them recently won $35k in a tourney, and another $25k).
Was short stacked fairly early in. After the first break for dinner, came back and started playing a lot better - doubled up then tripled up. Ended up going heads-up against the guy that won $25k recently and beat him out.
$500 prize - not bad for my first tournament!
Mind you, I'm very young and have been only playing for about 4 months. Now I'm very inspired to get my game as close to the top as possible.

Awesome, congrats! I just recently played my first live games for real money, just 6 of us in a home game, but we played two $10 buy-in tournies and I won both of 'em
