I think this is a bad fold with the 64 even though it worked well in this case. You're normally going to make most of your profits by stacking off a bunch of dudes who can't fold when you hit big and otherwise staying out of trouble, but folding the 2nd nut on the flop just because somebody raised you and there were a bunch of others in the pot who might draw out on you is taking it too far for me. If you have a big play advantage over the table then this sort of risk aversion/waiting for a better spot is a good way to ensure you have a better chance of coming out ahead on each session, but a lower hourly rate is the cost of this reduced variance. I think it's better to hit the casino with 3 or so buyins and be prepared to get it all in there even if you only feel like you're a small favourite.

But overall it's good to hear you're doing well.

This what what I was getting at. This move will reduce your variance but also your winrate. In cash games you take every +$EV chance you have. This is one of them.

Piv just isnt nearly as conservative as you...lol

    Dont take offence.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

I don't think of myself as conservative at all.

I went with my read of the situation and assessed that I was in a race of sorts to win a big pot.

If I felt I was in a good spot to take that pot down, I would have shoved my whole stack.

Then stick with your reads. Its hard to describe a specific scenario to a bunch of people over the internet. If you felt you had a solid read then I say just go with it.
