Default First Big Tourny

OK, last night I got very lucky and won a satellite into the Sunday Night 50k. As I think it might be few and far between until my next appearance, I have a few questions. In this tourny they are offering add on's and re-buys? I think that is what they are calling it. Anyway, I was just looking for so help on what these are and the best way to play these if I don't have the funds to rebuy. Is it that important to rebuy? Is there any strategy on when to re-buy. Thanks for your help, and if anyone cares I will post how I did, more likely, where I went wrong.
Thanks for your help....

Cash out the seat. Take the $ and run. If you don't have the cash to cover a rebuy tourny, don't play. The rebuy period play will be too minefieldish to make a super tight strategy effective. It's possible to survive, infact likely, but not a good value for your money. Cashout the seat, if possible, and play a couple other sat's to build up a bank to get back in. See if you win another seat if that counts as a rebuy.

But if you want to play it and take the shot, go ahead....

I agree, or play some cheaper standard tournaments.

Do you know if Empire will let me cash out the seat? I would go for that I guess. I'm pretty excited about it though, and it would be tough give up, but I can see how I would be at a disadvantage. The rebuy's are 100 bucks a piece--not up to that level yet...

I've qualified for a few of the Party "big" tournies (200k+).

Party don't allow you to cash out. And I'm glad because it's the sensible thing to do. The romantic notion that you might win is great fun and the illusory prospect of a big pay day is one of the things that keeps me hooked to the game.

So if you play it, then enjoy it.
