Didn't one pro play 2 WSOP events at the same time? One was a form of omaha I think and his tables were adjacent eachother so he just turned around a lot and I think he won one and got second in another. (I know he made good finishes in both)
Not really that surprising, JKo and scx both 16 table on a regular basis.

It is my long term goal to do that, on mid-high NL ( NL 200 to 600).

Oh yeah I forgot that JKo used to 16-table. He finally wised up and moved up instead of just wasting time in that 25NL zone.

Mentor is my friend, lol.

Mutitabling 4 or greater and single tabling is simply playing 2 different games IMO...
Different skills and strategies are required.

Personaly, I would prefer 1 tabling 20/40 or 30/60, even 50/100 but short term luck is too much a factor and I dont have the bankroll to handle the swing.

Soo, I dont have the choice and I 4 table the best 2/4 and 3/6 games I can find.
Off course, when I play MTT or SNGs, I try to single table. I Dont do as much money per hour, but I definately need it to get back to the essentials of poker.

KJ

PS: Some of you said that Multi tabling avoids going on tilt... you guys should have better attitude than me, cuz even if I can control myself now, I still have to stop or do something else for a few minutes when my Rockets get cracked by 4-10 off!!!

BUt when you see Rockets (Or a nearly as good hand) every 10 minutes.. you really dont mind having them cracked, since you will see them again shortly.

Those two choices are sooooo different that it's not even funny.

My issue with the short term luck here is, are we talking per 100 hands or per hour?

Yeah your Standard Deviation (measure of short term luck) goes down per hour when you multitable, but it remains the same (in theory, at worst it goes up a bit from lack of attention) per 100 hands.

So the arguement that multitabling reduces your SD only applies when you are talking in $/hr. Which is waht we mainly are, so this is a pointless post, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

I find the desktop logistics of muti-tabling hard. How do you guys deal with it? Do you have a certain structure to your windows or just have them all over the place and just play them as they pop up?

I totally agree that real poker involves playing live and focusing on everything everyone does even when you're not in the hand. Online poker is different though. There are no tells and I find it kind of hard to focus on a person's betting pattern if you're not there in person. For me, internet poker is nothing but a training ground while I prepare to regularly hit the card room so I'll never really just focus on one table. If I'm playing one table, I'm normally studying at the same time.

I wanna give playing more tables a shot but I'd like to know how some of you handle the desktop logistics and how you manage your bankroll differently depending on how many tables you play.

I know... I control myself a lot better than I used to.

Was kidding a little bit...
